June is Alzheimer’s Awareness month, and it’s time pay attention to the disease, which 47 million people around the world are living with.
The Alzheimer’s Association is encouraging people to share their stories and “Go Purple” to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The more people learn about Alzheimer’s, the more we as a community can be motivated to inspire change.
Visit The Alzheimer’s Association website for plenty of ideas on how to raise awareness, like using the hashtags #EndAlz and #MyAlzStory on social media, instructions for a simple way to turn your Facebook page purple for the month, celebrity stories and more. You can even share your story there – and we want to hear your story too! Send us your “Go Purple” photos, and we’ll share them on Facebook and Instagram.
Let’s take action, “Go Purple” and raise awareness this month.
