Christiana Foglio, Founder and CEO of Community Investment Strategies, Inc., (CIS) a recognized builder of award-winning senior housing throughout New Jersey, announced the opening of Onora, a new senior residential care facility in Ocean Township.
Onora, located at 1213 West Park Avenue, is a residential program that offers customized, personalized healthcare services for up to 15 residents. By lowering the resident-to-staff ratio, residents develop a trusting relationship with the staff, which is a critical dynamic for ensuring the resident’s quality of life.
Rather than requiring residents to adapt to a one-size-fits-all program, Onora creates an individualized care plan for each resident to address his or her emotional, social and physical needs.
Onora’s daily life enrichment program, The Path, builds upon the unique path of each resident’s life by enhancing old passions and cultivating new interests – evoking positive memories, eliciting enthusiasm and encouraging interaction.
CIS already owns and operates several senior properties throughout Monmouth County, including Heritage Village at Elton Corner (Freehold), Heritage Village at Manalapan, Whalepond Village (Ocean Township) and currently constructing Heritage Village at Oakhurst.
“As a family-owned company, we were driven by our own personal experiences to create a senior residential care facility that offers a level of care that can only come from one family to another,” said Foglio. “We emotionally invest in each person because our residents matter and we pride ourselves on providing each individual with the tools and care he or she needs to thrive.”
Focusing on concierge care, Onora offers residents a wealth of resources, including a beauty salon, spa, aroma therapy, in-home physical therapy and occupational therapy, as well as access to 24-hour on-site nursing care, on-site lab work and home visits from doctors and specialists. Approved by a registered dietitian and prepared by an in-house chef, residents have a wide-range of nutritious dining options to choose from, including gluten-free. Residents may partake in meal preparation if they enjoy cooking.
